"Heritage is not just about architecture

but social spaces and historical relationships."

History

The Ellice Theatre is a non-profit community theatre founded in 2006. It is a development initiative to support transitional housing and other community work. The Ellice Theatre strives to provide affordable entertainment to residents of the West End community and surrounding areas.

The Ellice Theatre is a low cost rental venue for upcoming bands, new film releases, theatre groups or other performing artists. We have been home to professional theatre and dance companies as well as community-based organizations. With theatre style seating for 230 people, we’ve hosted almost every type of event including movie nights, wedding celebrations, live bands, wrestling, lectures, karaoke nights, corporate events, broadway plays, musicals and more. It is an amazing stage space of 30‘W x 20‘D, with sound and visual equipment available (including lights and projection), great acoustics, a ticket booth and a counter for selling snacks, popcorn, band merchandise and more.
